No More Aggers
![]() I have enjoyed his articles, live radio broadcasts with the ABC in Australia, and podcasts over the years. The best podcasts were with Sir Geoffrey after England had lost a Test match. Mr Boycott did not mince his words :haha: Was he pushed out in favour of having a more diverse and inclusive commentary team as it seems to be the case nowadays? Some comments from the BBC app about the England loss to the Paki's that I found interesting ![]() ![]() And good to see our Kiwi cuzzie bro's knocking the curry munchers off. That'll shut up their mental fans on social media for a while. Hopefully. My WA boys had a shocker the other day in a domestic one-dayer. :ohno: ![]() ![]() No team can win all the time even when they have all played for Australia dancing |
Australia start a two Test series today in Sri Lanka safe in the knowledge that they are already into the World Test Championship final.
They hold every Test trophy that they can get playing against other Test playing nations. Ashes, Border-Gavaskar, Frank Worrell (W.I.'s), etc The Warne - Chucker Trophy is up for grabs this time. No Pat Cummins as he chose to stay in Oz for the birth of his child. Must be nice to be able to determine whether you will play Test cricket for Australia or not. That doesn't sit right with me. So Steve "cry baby" Smith is the captain. The last time that he came to Sri lanka as captain in 2016, Australia had reached the #1 ranking and he was presented with a mace for that achievement. They were then white washed 0-3 and ended up dropping to 3rd in the rankings. No doubt there will be spin friendly condtions and with some new faces in the Test side, it should be interesting. Like most Test teams, Srl Lanka won't be easy to beat at home. I won't comment about the Australian selectors as we would be here all day. :angry2: My man, Harry Brook has slipped a bit so Adam Voges is still safe at #2 in the Test batting averages. However SL have a man that is better than him. At the moment. Kamindu Mendis who averages 74 but has only played 10 Tests and 17 innings with 2 not outs. He has played Tests against Australia in Australia and against England in England so he has done well. So far. Hopefully I can find it on my IPTV provider's channels as it is all T20 at the moment. :toot: |
England bombed out of the ICC Trophy by Afghanistan which was expected given that there is no serious 50 over cricket played in England. The 50 over competition now takes second place to the godforsaken 100 also known as the 16.4. The ECB have classed the 50 over competition as a development competition for Counties whereby they can bring on their young players as all the decent senior players are given contracts to play in the 16.4. Consequently England are now, unsurprisingly, shite at 50 over cricket. It is possible they could be better at the 100 shitshow but seeing as no other country plays it, or even seem remotely interested in it, there's no way of knowing.
