As a keen cricket fan I am mortified that the Pakistanis have once again brought my game into disgrace. In the UK (in general) we bend over backwards to comply with the various demands of Pakistanis and this summer have provided a home for their cricket team. By getting involved in this crime they have stuck two fingers up to our hospitality.
From a cricketing point of view, Amir and Asif are two top bowlers. In fifty plus years of watching first class cricket, Amir is the best teenage bowler I have seen, the cricketing world was at his feet, along with the legitimate riches from international and IPL cricket. Now even the limp wristed ICC have to ban them for life. The authorities in this country have for too long let the Pakistanis have a free reign. We had Asif at Leicester for a season and the amount of 'hangers on' he attracted was incredible. When not on the field at Grace Road he was always in a huddle with numerous Pakistanis, non of who ever paid to get in the ground. For the sake of the greatest game in the world, the strongest action available needs to be taken against these criminals. |

Not really surprised at all this. The Pakis have always been involved in some sort of scamming. If you go back to the time when Mike Gatting called one of their umpires a cheat, which he was. England then did'nt tour Pakistan for many years although this was never openly discussed. Then the Aussies, captained by Border, threatened to leave Pakistan mid tour because of blatant cheating by home umpires.
There was obviously something going on during the last Pakistan tour of Australia resulting in so many players being banned and only weak excuses given. In the current scandal there must be a minimum of 3 players involved, including the captain, for the no ball predictions to be so accurately predicted. These 3 should be immediately suspended from all International and First Class cricket, until there is a satisfactory outcome to any Court hearing or ICC enquiry. Of course there's no chance of that happening as its not PC and breaches the players Human Rights etc. Also international cricket is dominated by the Asian contingent as that's where real the big bucks are to be made. |

The lack of action and apparent self appointed innocence of the Pakistani authorities is laughable. It reminds me of the time when the Iraqi spokesman (Comical Ali) stood in front of the world press and denied the American tanks were any where near Baghdad, while everyone could see them rolling along behind him.

The problem with betting scams is,the more the police investigate the more top officals they find that are regulary up to know good.It is thought at least 2 scottish league games are nobbled every week. But the bookies dont mind ,i.e hills/corals etc.Ok they lose in the areas where the games are played, but win a fortune on multiple bets like 10 homes etc. Some one in london looking at a coral pink ,looks at the top off second division ,its say stenhousemuir who are playing at home to raith rovers who are bottom .Only one result looking at this home win ,but no games been nobbled raith rovers win 3 nil.
Look at venables/harry redknapp, there are allways in the firing line but nothing ever gets done.
