I'd say that pond Chris runs is for pleasure style fishing. It's a nice little lake, close to travel to and has good facilities for a scoff and beer. Don't know how much it costs per day but it's cheap.
Next up would be the fishing park at Jomtein. There are some big lumps in there. You hire the tackle and from what I remember it all comes to less than 1000 baht for a day there with food and drink. Fishing is good. Top of the tree. Bungsumrang near Bangkok. SERIOUS fishing. World record carp and plenty of lumps. You need to make a plan to go there. Really a few guys need to share taxi, fishing hut and guide. It's not a cheap day out. Fishing for a holiday maker is 1000 baht per day. Ex pat with driving license 400 baht. Bait will cost you about 300-500 baht. Fishing hut 1000 baht. Rod hire 500 baht. Guide 1000 baht Food and drink extra. It's fantastic fishing there. We've had a few Revealed trips. They have been great. |
