Haven't used Travellers Cheques for years;;

Whats' the procedure for cashing them in ? how much i.d do you need etc.. Is it more expensive to exchange lower denomination notes?

Hi Tim

In Pattaya you`ll need your passport as id.

Many of the banks charge about 30 baht to cash each TC so the highest value ones you can obtain are best.

Some exchange places don`t charge a fee for cashing
them but sometimes have a worse rate.
Swings and roundabouts.

You`ll get a slightly better rate for TCs than cash.

I usually email myself the serial numbers of my TCs,
just in case of loss or theft.
