I can't advise about sites as I'm in the uk but I would use a google search entering 'cheap flights to bangkok', we have a site called airline-network.co.uk, I think there may be an american version ending with .com but not sure. We have some american members here and hopefully they can help you more than I can with sites.

I would suggest you try and find flights with Eva Air, a good low cost carrier.
