We Missed Out on a Killing, Wodger
We would have filled our boots mate.
Sadly he broke down and has been retired to stud Zoustar This 3yo horse had absolutely no hope of winning at Royal Ascot. He won a couple of Group 1 sprints against his own age last year in our spring. A horse these days only has to win a couple of Group 1's then gets labelled a "champion" The owners were then paid millions by one of the rich breeders here to stand the horse at stud. The plan being to win a Group 1 in Blighty then the breeder would have a dual hemisphere stallion on their hands. Worth a mint. It didn't happen. The horse had one start in our autumn a couple of months ago against open class sprinters. His first go at taking on older horses. He got flogged. The new owners blamed the wet track. He was simply not good enough. Canterbury Stakes Result He would have been branded the new Aussie star and been single figure odds. The plan was to lay him and lay him on Betfair till the cows came home. It wont happen now.
