When I'm thinking about how to spend my money in Pattaya. I've come to the conclusion that its worth spending a bit more on accomodation and maybe sacrificing one night a week or so to do this. If you stay in the cheapest possible room its a false economy as you can't spend a night sitting in there and need to go out. I'm here for a few months and I need to have a night off sometimes. Down soi diana/lk metro/ buakhaow - nice rooms for 600 baht region.

Money for girls - I go for freelancers in the discos and JP Bar. I never mention price with them before I take them. I take it as a given that between 4 - 10 am its a 1000 baht LT. I will always give a decent tip (100 - 200 baht) if the performance has been good from the girl. But this trip I've really noticed girls pushing for more money. Not all of them but there are some real idiots out there. Who think because some dickhead newbie paid them 2,000 once they are now worth 2,000 everytime. Solly honey this low season nit noy falang.

All my major spending is at night. Daytimes I can sit on the beach for buttons, Tony Gym for 200 baht, internet cafe 30 baht an hour, eat at Kiss and get change from a 100 baht note.

Night time drinking is the big variable for me. Especially if you like hanging about discos you need to think about what drinks you buy. 205 baht for a Bacardi Breezer in the Marine, 165 for a Chang... a few drinks can get you through a 1000 baht in next to no time.

Good tip BB, plus the baht buses are a good place to break 1000 baht bills into smaller change.

They do not do breaks on long term stay though. Good people and I consider the place my home away from home....I think woody has the same same viewpoint...as he always stays there as well.

I agree with you, good hotel in a great location, but so are most places on Soi 13. Its the staff that make the Sandy special for me. 6 weeks today I will be in there again.

Never any comments but a little twinkle in the eye and a knowing look after some of the states I get into.

I budget about 12,000 Baht a day on average all in. The 1st few days always start out way over that figure then I reach the stage where I don`t need to drink so much to get buzzing I just need to top up and my expenditure drops

I reckon you have to look at it in 2 different scenarios.
If your out on the lash with the boys and doing Soi 6 in the daytimes there is no limit to money.

You can do 3-4 grand down there easy plus double that in Walking Street that night without too much trouble time you've paid BF and chucked a few drinks down her neck.

On the other hand, the days you have a girl LT should let your spending catch up. I've had 1 thousand baht all day spends plenty of times when I've had a girl and just sat on the beach all day and had a Thai meal in the evening.

I should know better but still spend about £100 a day when there.

I could do it cheaper if need be.
