Wonder if the Baht bus driver was honest enough to only take 5 baht out of this guys pocket ?
Man Stabbed to death after jealous attack involving boyfriend and ex-boyfriend. A disturbing case of suspected murder now coming from Soi 17 off Pattaya Third Road which appears to have been caused by jealousy. Police Lieutenant Colonel Tawatshai from Pattaya Police Station was called to the front of the Charn Tong Place Apartments to inspect the body of a Thai Man on the back of a Baht Bus which was in the process of transporting the fatally injured man to Hospital. The driver realized the man had already passed away and stopped the Bus and called the Police. The dead man is Khun Paisan aged 27 and we understand he was stabbed in a fight with Khun Thawanon aged 24 in Soi Anget off the Tepprasit Road in Jomtien. Also involved in the case is Khun Rampai aged 25 who was slightly injured and extremely distraught but she did explain to us that the dead man is her ex-boyfriend who initiated a fight with the suspected murderer, Khun Thawanon, who is her current boyfriend. The two men had never met before but the victim arrived at the location with the intention of causing harm to Khun Thawanon and was armed with a pair of scissors. During a scuffle, Khun Thawanon was disarmed by Khun Paisan who allegedly stabbed Khun Thawanon in the chest in self-defense, according to his own admission. Khun Paisan apparently had no intention of causing harm to Khun Thawanon and even summoned the Baht Bus to take him to Hospital after the attack. He initially fled the scene of the attack but later gave himself up to Police. He is now facing a charge of murder and must convince a judge that he stabbed the victim in self-defense and did not intentionally kill him. http://www.pattayacitynews.net/news_21_08_50_3.htm |

There are officially 650 registered Baht buses in Pattaya but nobody knows the true number , thought to be around 1200 many are owned and driven by cops.
60% should not even be on the roads due to safety defects and pollution , many of the drivers are thoughtless asshole 's they are responsible for many accidents , they are supposed to be a co-operative but are more of a mafia. |

Maybe the ones that park on the side of the roads and ask 100B for a ride starting at 2:01 a.m.

London equivalent of the Octopus card
use them in Hong Kong, gets you around on the underground, star ferry etc. Quite a good system actually. I`d like to see someone try to use one in Pattaya though lol Last edited by roamer : 06-26-2008 at 06:38 PM. |
