You seem to forget I do that shit and get paid for it daily. My expenses last month were over 100,000 baht.

I can think of Chatuchak market and Cold Stone ice cream shop and that's about it in Bangkok. The rest of it is a nightmare. The traffic for starters would ruin any normal person. The P4P scene is crap here. Pattaya is a 100 times better and that's why everyone on here goes there and doesnt stay in BKK.

Not a single person on this board came to LOS for any other reason that fucking whores. You can put a twist on it if you like but that's why your here not because of Thai culture.

If Thai girls suddenly decided they hated falang men not a single person reading this would ever go to LOS.

I would rather be with my mates in CB on my birthday to be honest.

I'm booked into some yuppie 5* shit place this weekend with my boss. If I could swop places I'd much prefer to be staying at 500 baht Thai Tong Villa and taking a bird LT from Soi 6.

Why are you rambling about tourist places and running down 5* hotels and massage parlours? They are options among a whole host of things going on in BKK in any given week. Do you have some sort of inferiority complex about them, or what?

You have no idea whatsoever why people came to Thailand. There's thousands of guys (and women) in LOS for whom the P4P scene is way down their list of priorities. Bangkok One of the best cities in the world ...hmmm...not in the top 20 is it? for culture , technology, architecture its a sprawl cant compare to london ,Paris ,St petersburg ,Vienna, Barcelona, jerusalem.Istanbul,Milan,venice ,Rome,NY ,tokyo , singapore ,SF,Seattle ,Oslo ,Amsterdam not even in the top 20 i have spent years in BKK and you can see all the really valuable Cultural sights in a week the rest is just another big anonymous big shitty city .

Thailand's capital Bangkok has been named the world's best city by influential US travel magazine Travel + Leisure.

Announced as part of its World's Best 2011 Awards issue to be published July 22, the prestigious title was awarded based on the votes of thousands of Travel + Leisure readers who voted for cities around the world.

It is the second year in a row that Bangkok has been named in the top spot, despite a period of civil unrest last year which did considerable damage to Thailand's international reputation as a tourism haven.

We've done this one before.... In reality, the traffic flow is a damn site better that it was 20 years ago and it's going to get even better when the skytrain and underground networks extend out towards the suburbs.
