I use United out of San Francisco and via Tokyo to BKK. Check your dates and if you can be flexible it can save you some cash. I am going first of Sept, and the same flight for Aug or Oct, just one month different either way was more. Had a flight booked for April at $1000 and March and May were both $1500. Don't know the how or why of their pricing seasons, but something to consider if you can flex your dates.

do you have to make reservations at the little 330-400 baht hotels.I won't have a long stay and not a lot of money,it makes me sound like a cheap Charlie doesn't it lol
