1. I think the danger is overstated, but whoever you go with after having just known for a few minutes requires some caution to be taken as regards theft, irrelevant of gender.
Walking the beach side of Beach Road very late at night/early morning maybe not to be recommended although I`ve never felt threatened or in danger there

2.For a first visit maybe best to meet/pick up at a bar, although that is a little unfair on those workers that choose not to use a bar as a base.


3 & 4 No idea, sorry.

5. There are plenty of Ladyboys in Pattaya.

Above based just on observations and from friends who choose to go with them.


A little caution and commons sense and you will be fine.
Pattaya generally a safe place, although as with any destination that has a lot of tourists there will also be a few locals/nationals that may attempt to take advantage.
