Titmus was someone I grew up watching as well. Sport always moves on, but I reckon a young Fred Titmus would more than hold his own in todays game. Uncovered wickets helped him back in the day, but his skill and guile meant he adapted to any conditions. He was a fair bat too, maybe not quite a full on number 7, but an excellent number 8. RIP Fred ...........now where is that Half Man Half biscuit track?
