Golfing Near Pattaya
Gday all
I like having a swing with the clubs and have been told that thailand offers some pretty good courses. Wondering if there are any not far from Pattaya and who would be the best people to contact for a transported tour ? I am by no means a professional, but dont mind having a hit with a few beers. Anyway any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Shaun |

I know they run various trips from all over Pattaya INC - 18 coins Soi Buackhow, The Golf Club LK Metro, The Fairway Pub 3rd Road and Hotlegs Bar Jomntien yet to name a few , you best bet and advice would be to PM board member Elway (Tony) he is allways going on the trips.

Burapha is as good value as anywhere.
None of the courses are less than 30 minutes from town, (except Siam Country Club) so as Wiggy says its best to get in with one of the expat groups who arrange transport. Most courses have a "sports day" once a week when the green fees are cheaper. FYI caddies are compulsory on all courses, carts on most. So budget around 800-1600 b for your round, 300 for a caddie, plus tip, 600 or 700 for your cart, chip in for the ride there, and hire clubs if you need to.....its not a cheap day out, but probably a better course than oop north where you are. You can also try Lewiinskis's or the Haven for a game. The Pattaya Sports Club has a website but I've lost the link, sorry. If you can, get a game at one of the courses near Ban Chang, and stop off for a refreshment post-round.
