Looking to go to Phuket in June but never been down that end off Thailand before. The flights seem cheap about £23 with air Asia from don muaug airport. Just wanted to know what area to stay in and good hotels. Or I'm I better going to krabi or samui? Don't know much about that end off Thailand

If you're going to be in Phuket you'll want to be in the thick of it as the taxi drivers are all robbing bastards. Patong is the main resort and you'll want to be walking distance to Soi Bangla. I've not been in years so don't really know where's any good these days.

I'm totally over Phuket now and it'll be a long time before I go back
plenty of hotels around Bangla rd Ian, have a look at the Yorkshire inn it's got a pool and a gym and decent food

Why's that Bryson ? Had a look at that Yorkshire looks alright for the price. Just fancied a change from Pattaya

I think I've been 3-4 times in the space of 4 years and it's pretty much the same same,done all the islands twice now,phukets very much the tourist choice for young Aussies.... you'll understand when you go
if you,Ve not been before Ian definitely go and check it out,quite expensive now though and on a par with Bangkok prices

No problem Bryson. Had a look at that Yorkshire Hotel good reviews but a bit off putting that not all the rooms have Windows. Seen I one that was a 10min walk from soi bangla but that mite be to far away was at the top end off the beach

How much is there to visit islands and that? Think I'm going to go for 5 nights but not sure yet

If I was you I'd do James Bond and phi phi with at least a day in between they are long days and don't forget plenty of sunblock had a couple of bouts of sunburn on those trips especially when
