Totally agree with that Irish. I was surprised seeing Aaron on the big screen giving his words of congratulations to Bonds. A class act by Hammerin' Hank. Don't forget the shit he endured from the racists when he was close to breaking Ruth's record....from the ugly taunts by some "fans" in the crowds to death threats and having to get body guards...all pretty much kept out of the news at the time. Henry Aaron is the the career home run champ, the standard-bearer for when the game was relatively pure (just booze and greenies). Bonds is the record holder for major league baseball's Steroid Age. I wonder how many of the pitchers in the last 20 years were on steroids? The initials R.C. comes to mind...
