The game needs some radical changes at professional level. Starters would be reduce the team to 12 or 13 and make the defending side start 15 yards from the game line.
Better still, revert back to amateur status, have fat unfit props and let the players concentrate on ale drinking instead of training.

Then it would be Rugby League. A far superior game to Union in terms of fitness of the players and entertainment for the spectators.
I once saw a stat somewhere about the amount of time the ball was actually in play in both games. I forget the figures but League was ahead by miles.
I played Union at school and League as a semi-pro for Bramley and Dewsbury. League players are fitter than even their top class Union counterparts.
