Korat
 

Has anyone spent any time in Korat ? Recommend hotels or places were girls acquaintance can be made ? I thought i might stay there 4 or 5 days . Hotels under 1000 and girls same . Any ideas on what to do there appreciated. I undersatand it is just a large rural town and aint no Pattaya , but no pompem for Ruralsamile . Thanks :thumbsup:

Always planned on going there but never got round to it. Nearly every report I've seen says that it's a bit of a boring place for a large city.
Khon Kaen is a better option for night-life and things to do.

My mate reckons there is some freelancer action around the Chaophraya Hotel.
Apart from that, it's the usual massage parlors, karaoke bars or ask a local Tuk Tuk driver where the action is. You can get some ideas from the link below

Daytime : Korat Zoo, The Mall, Mahaweerawong National Museum, Phi Mai Historical Park, Khao Yai National Park etc

Night : Korat Night Bazaar, quite a few bars and pubs available - my mate mentioned the Bule Saloon and Tawan Daeng.

You can have fun in Korat, as you can have fun anywhere- but I have to say, Korat is my least favorite Isaan city. I only stayed there two nights though. A considerably smaller place, but with a better nitelife if you ask me, is Surin- in fact it is noted in Isaan as a party town. It's all within walking distance too. So if you get bored in Korat, I'd hop a bus there- it's only two hours away.

Yeah korat is a bit hit and miss , actually they dont much like farangs there but Surin ,Khon Kaen, chaiyaphum and Udon thani can be real big fun

and of course Buriram ,,,full of sluts

Korat is a great place but its far too affluent for too many girls to put out to farangs.

Buriram is a better bet if you cant get a fuck any other way. Its very easy to meet girls who will go and some dont even expect a 'present' afterwards.

I really like Korat lots to do if you like Thai culture and the people are very very friendly many have not had much to do with farangs so they can be a bit shy.

I couldnt recommend any hotels at the price the Op insits on. I stay at the Princess in Korat.
