A couple of books that might be of interest to 1st time visitors to Pattaya
"Money Still Number One" by Neil Hutchinson.
Book is described as being "The Single man`s Survival Guide to Thailand"
The book covers some basic ground re. some of the thai people in Pattaya,gives a description of the different types of bars,the bar girls and common stories you may hear from some of them.
Entertaining read written in a humurous style.
"Pattaya-Patpong on Steroids" by Duncan Stearn.
Partially auto-biographical,the author of the book spent several years in Pattaya,including running a agogo bar.provides an insight into the lives of some of the girls that work in the bars of Pattaya.
Both books have the same publisher Mitraphab Press,who I believe have a base in Australia.
Not sure how easy to obtain outside of Pattaya/Thailand but in Pattaya probably available at Bookazine,located on the 1st floor of Royal garden Plaza and on the 2nd floor of Big C(Central Festival Centre) 2nd road.
Both books make for easy light reading.
