Posting replies

Seems this is the only place to post replies. Tried in 2 of the 3 areas I am allowed to look at. I know the board is tight. But hell how are you supposed to get into it? Been on flb for years. Secrets since they became secrets. Pattaya-live. Probably have 20 more in thailand I regularly look at. On Too many too list in Bangkok. If I remember right that why I never posted here it was a new site back in 2007. And I am heading over in April for a month. Want to get the most info beforehand. Is your site affiliated with any bars? Tried to do my profile Nope again thanks....Next!

Hi all
I am saddened that this forum has become so restrictive with pressure to post. I believed the point of Pattaya forums were to keep people informed about Pattaya to help and promote their stay. I can understand some restrictions until a poster is known, but most areas are restricted. I post on other forums but only post when I think it is relevant. I see many pointless posts by people trying to make up numbers of posts. That not me. Its a shame but I suspect this board may be too clicky for me with an agenda I would not wish to subscribe to.
It will not detract from my continued enjoyment of visiting Pattaya. Will be there for a month again in Feb/March after my last stay for a month in Nov/Dec.

Hi explorer
Thanks for your opinion, fair comment(No I`m not being sarcastic).
I`ve been knocked off 1 Thai related and 1 non Thai related
forum for not posting, no loss in the first instance, shame about
the latter one where I had nothing to add but enjoyed
reading.

I do believe that the only "agenda" here though is just for
members/friends to keep in touch with each other and help/ entertain when possible.
Some other boards have commercial influence behind them hence
want member count above anything else, I don`t think this board is about promoting stays in Pattaya/ Thailand, that`s a personal
decision whether to visit or not.
Plenty of posters on other boards make pointless posts, some have
made 1000s of posts without adding anything of value, in fact some have made 1000s of posts while mis-leading visitors.
Enjoy your up-coming trip, be nice to read your views,
positive or negative, up to you.

Hi explorer, as roamer has pointed out this forum is neither a promotional tool for a business nor do we accept any advertising revenue. The costs are shared by the admin and moderators to provide a forum for friends to share their experiences and have a bit of a laugh. New members are very welcome to join but there is an expectation that people contribute to this community in some small way at least to justify their inclusion by posting. The board gains nothing from non-posting members as we're neither advertising anything nor pushing any particular agenda. There's no set number of posts someone has to make to reset their initial access levels we're just looking to see that people are actively contributing to the board.

Enjoy your trip

If you sat down with your mates down the pub and never, ever said a word or joined in the conversation they would fuck you off soonish.
Think of it like that, this board does not cater for lurkers as we prefer all members to contribute.

New members are welcome as far as I'm concerned. They will have a laugh once they join in as well.
