Tomorrows BIG fight

MEN Arena, Manchester, England
Promoted by Sports Network (Frank Warren)
Amir Khan vs. Breidis Prescott Lightweight
WBO Intercontinental Title
Alex Arthur vs. Nicky Cook Super-Featherweight
WBO Title
Paul Smith vs. Danny Thornton Middleweight
Matthew Macklin vs. Francis Cheka Middleweight
Audley Harrison vs. George Arias Heavyweight

£14.95 on SKY PPV, a bit of a con job as not really a mouthwatering card but I might be tempted to shell out for it in the hope of seeing AK KO'D.

ferocious 09-05-2008 05:05 PM

not sure how good prescotts opponents have been but he can obviously punch by his KO record , i'll be watching free on czech TV if the weather gets a bit better as it's jamming up at the moment with the torrential rain... fancy cook Arthur being a decent fight

Bilbobaggins 09-05-2008 06:13 PM

yep Reg, arthur-cook fight the only one that interests me, certainly wouldn't pay £15 for that line up......

old crust 09-05-2008 06:14 PM

Prescott looks a fit lad, I reckon this could be Khan's first real test.

Figjam 09-05-2008 11:58 PM

When I saw this thread Rolly I thought Arfa and Bert were going to have a stoush over Winnie :69:

Now that really is a tempting prospect. I'm not usually a fan of the lighter weights - any chance he's got a boxer in against him...instead of a hairdresser ?

Thebomb 09-06-2008 03:50 PM

i remember warren bringin a guy over for hatton with a similar record......everyone was rubbin their chins wonderin what to expect, but he was unknown to british boxin fans.....an hatton fuckin smashed him up.......so on paper it looks interesting.....but warren is a great matchmaker(or the guy who makes the fights for him) and i cant see him posing a threat really.........if amir keeps his hands up he'll win...........i fancy cook to outpoint the slower one dimensional arthur.............classy when he's on his game is cook.....but its a move up in weight for him........harrison will win too against another bum........only to be smashed up again when he steps up a class......

ROLAND 09-06-2008 08:06 PM

Well I've shelled out the £14.95 and it's Big Audrey up first dancing

ferocious 09-06-2008 08:10 PM

i've got it on in czech or romanian i think it is or maybe hungarian , this will be :shit: harrison usually is dire

ferocious 09-06-2008 08:13 PM

harrison should be david haye's first heavyweight opponent :boxing:

ROLAND 09-06-2008 08:18 PM

A Force getting booed

ROLAND 09-06-2008 08:28 PM

Same old Audrey, he might as well give it up now

ferocious 09-06-2008 08:31 PM

if he was fighting in my back garden i'd shut the curtains

ROLAND 09-06-2008 08:51 PM

Big A wins on points but no good

ferocious 09-06-2008 08:52 PM

i think the boos should tell him to give it up

ROLAND 09-06-2008 08:54 PM

Same old excuses from him but he has nowhere to go

ROLAND 09-06-2008 09:36 PM

ROLAND 09-06-2008 10:47 PM

Do you remember Erroll Christie in the 80's ? Top amateur like Khan but couldn't take a punch and ended up nowhere, can't see Khan coming back from that KO.

ferocious 09-06-2008 10:54 PM

yeah remember him .... can't believe khan is saying i'll need to study the tape to see where i went wrong

Thebomb 09-06-2008 11:13 PM

he's only human.........i know...........been there....t shirt an all...........cant help what ya made of...........no way back for him now....a top boxer must posses a granite chin.......thats the way it is.....an stopped myself from TOTAL WORLD DOMINATION!!!.......jokin aside though......cant see where he goes now.........

Bilbobaggins 09-07-2008 12:00 AM

fuck the paki cunt
I'm glad the over-rated wanker has lost :bigfinger

ferocious 09-07-2008 07:00 AM

here it is.....don't blink

old crust 09-07-2008 07:40 AM

The towel should have gone in after the first KO. He was out on his feet.

Should have stayed as an amateur and had a crack in Beijing and then called it a day. Nowhere for him to go now in the big boys league.

ROLAND 09-07-2008 07:52 AM

He can't even say it was a one off and caught cold as Limond and Gomez had both decked him so in reality he is done for as he could knock over a few hairdressers and roadsweepers in a comeback but the first decent puncher would have him again.

monkeyspanker 09-07-2008 07:53 AM

just seen it on the news.
his whole head wobbles like in a cartoon, crackin punch
looks like he will have to go back to nickin cars for a living

penetrator 09-07-2008 11:56 AM

He looked like he was doing a bit of bhangra dancing in a bollywood movie when he got up after the 1st knockdown.

BigBadSi 09-07-2008 12:50 PM

back to the family business init

was at work when the fight happened but we watched it on someones mobile everyone was cheering,i was happy to see him lose but i sort a felt sorry for him watching that

penetrator 09-07-2008 02:07 PM

Wonder what he'll do now, doubt he'll get a job as a minicab driver cos of his driving record. Looks like his only option is working in a curry house.

Probably the moment when he left the dressing room.

I didn't realise 'Audrey' was still boxing.

Mirkwood 09-07-2008 04:18 PM

Fair play to the Columbian lad.
Comes from nothing and lived in a shithole. Glad to see him make a few quid.

Khans got enough dough now.

penetrator 09-08-2008 02:29 PM

That Colombian had an English great grandfather or something, hence the Prescott surname, makes him more British in my books than amir khan't take a punch. I reckon he could well be related to John '2 jabs' Prescott, I can see a family resemblance in their respective jabs.

monsterman 09-08-2008 09:44 PM

He has no Brain now so he can become a Taliabany suicide Bummer

Thebomb 09-09-2008 06:45 PM

amir walked into the ring a great british warrior............and got strectcherd out a paki

Bilbobaggins 09-09-2008 07:48 PM

I'd invite him out for a drink but the cunt never gets a round in.......:whistling:

BigBadSi 09-09-2008 10:44 PM
