English Premier League thread
I think we have enough interest to start an EPL thread.
To me it's the best league in the world and I love to watch it. I've spent lots of great footy nights in Pattaya and I'm lucky enough to have sat tv on the ship, the arabs love their footy too.Every prem game gets televised live! Couple of big games this weekend. Tottenham v Man Utd Man City v Arsenal.(Arshavin out thru injury so a good opportunity for Citeh) Liverpool and Chelsea should have an easy 3 pts. Fixtures Saturday, 12 September 2009 Blackburn v Wolverhampton, 15:00 Liverpool v Burnley, 15:00 Man City v Arsenal, 15:00 Portsmouth v Bolton, 15:00 Stoke v Chelsea, 15:00 Sunderland v Hull, 15:00 Tottenham v Man Utd, 17:30 Wigan v West Ham, 15:00 Sunday, 13 September 2009 Birmingham v Aston Villa, 12:00 Fulham v Everton, 16:15 :goal: |
Could Spurs still remain top of the league this weekend ? i honestly think they will give Man Utd a good run for there money 1-0 Spurs me thinks :party2:
|
Spurs have lost Modric thru injury and Ferdinand is back in United's squad this weekend.I think Spurs need to tighten up their defence a bit more if they're going to challenge the top teams.
Spurs 0 Man Utd 2. |

Man City v Arsenal was the game of the week for me. I love watching Arsenal play, they're great to watch.
Is Adebayor going to get pulled up by the FA for his stamp on van Persie ? While it was nasty. I can't say I feel too sorry for van Persie. He tried to assault Adebaoyr with a wild tackle and Adebayor skipped out the way of his wild lunge and deftly nailed him all in one move ! |
Much as I dislike Arsenal I hope they throw the book at Kunta Kinte.

The Adebayor incident sums up all thats gone down hill with football...... the sad demise of the football fan. How pathetic are the people who hurl abuse at the players from the safety of their seats and then play hell up when someone has a dig back? They spend a fortune decking themselves out in all the latest club tackle, hide behind endless hoards of stewards and try to impress people with talk they heard the previous week on MOTD....... "I reckon Joe Bloggsey will play at the head of the diamond in the hole behind the front two...." Oh for a return to the sixties and seventies, terracing an'all where you could stand where and with who you wanted. I've stopped going to away games now as you cannot get away from the new breed of knob head fan sat next to you.

Ya know........... if he was wearing a helmet like they do in proper (American) football, there wouldn't be any issue now!!! :lmao:
IMHO...... he deserves some kind of punishment for the obvious intentional act. |
thats why i hate going football now,to many christmas trees.
look at england away now it makes u feel sick, looking at them painted faces.what happened to 15 years ago, when most where blokes aged 18 to 55 ,with not a scarf/ top etc in sight. |
What made me laugh about the celebration incident was all the gooners writhing about as though they was trying to get onto the pitch but were somehow being held back, there was about 4-5 silly stewards to hold back hundreds and yet not 1 of the cunts got on the pitch from what I saw. Contrast this with West Ham the other week when dozens got onto the pitch just to celebrate a goal.
The gooners ? I've shit em ! |
adam as your a londener, maybe not on that day but arsenal have still got a active firm.few teams said last year arsenal only firm to turn up at there gaffs last season, big turn out at munichs, had them on there toes
|
Clock End in the early seventies used to be a right blood bath, mainly West Indian lads. Mind you not as bad as Upton Park, the ICF's Dads were a nightmare.

Fixtures for this weekend.
Shouldn't be a problem for the big 4,I would expect Citeh to win too. Saturday, 26 September 2009 Birmingham v Bolton, 15:00 Blackburn v Aston Villa, 15:00 Fulham v Arsenal, 17:30 Liverpool v Hull, 15:00 Portsmouth v Everton, 12:45 Stoke v Man Utd, 15:00 Tottenham v Burnley, 15:00 Wigan v Chelsea, 15:00 Sunday, 27 September 2009 Sunderland v Wolverhampton, 16:00 Monday, 28 September 2009 Man City v West Ham, 20:00 :supporter3: |
We should be able to cope with the 'appy 'ammers but it might depend on tonights result in the cup against Fulham, bad result here and the stretford hangover may continue. Of course I am saying this as I am used to the City of old, the new City should win 4 out the next 5 games with Villa away the only difficult one on paper
