With all the excellent hotels in Pattaya why you want concentrate on these two especially if your budget is flexible?? Both hotels are in poor positions IMO.

By all accounts the rooms in The Vault are fairly decent but from the outside it must rate as one of the most depressing looking hotels in Pattaya. It looks more like something that you might have expected to find in Dresden in the 70s. :whips:

Macam, I have reserved the Penthouse room at the Vault and, based upon my research, it has everything that I would like, from Wi-Fi access to a kitchen, and it appears to be roomy. As far as location, I understand that it is close to Walking St, which is where I'd like to be, I think. If not, it doesn't appear to be difficult to get to most locations.

Winston, thanks for that bit of information as I wasn't aware of that. However, my guess is that I probably wouldn't find the perfect lodging no matter how I try. It seems no matter what one comes across it is lacking in some way. I do hope it has soundproof though as I have to have my sleep to recuperate in between fun times.

Again, thanks.

I stayed in the Vault for a few days when I was looking around for a condo last year. Didn't have any problem with road noise from outside.

gonzo, that's certainly good news to hear although I wonder, like with most properties, if it depends on the location of the room. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I was right at the front on the 2nd floor so I'd say from that you won't have a problem anywhere there. They're nice rooms there and well kitted out but for me the lack of pool and general location means I haven't been back since.

Was it nice and quiet inside the Vault because of how the rooms were built gonzo :guitar2: or because you drank until passing out :drunk: every night? :bigfinger
