For the Septics and Aussies on here the biggest rivalry in British football is not actually in England but up in Scotland. When Rangers and Celtic play each other the hospitals in the south west of Scotland get filled with fans of either side who've been attacked by the opposition.

It's mostly down to religion and Irish/Ulster loyalties, the Rangers fans are mostly Protestant and believe in Ulster being part of the UK and the Celtic fans mostly Catholic and supporting a united Ireland.

Had a mate who went to many Arsenal games. He reckons the fans were more interested in whether Tottenham were losing than watching their own game

I remember a Liverpool fan claiming that theirs was the only derby where rival fans could walk to the game together, coz everybody on Merseyside hates the rest of the world more than they hate each other.:gunsmilie:

I once copped a smack on the back of the head at a Man U v Leeds FA Cup semi final at Hillsborough. Knocked me down a couple of steps.

I gingerly put my hand up to feel what it was. Got a hand full of warm liquid and some mushy pulp. "Fucking Hell me brains" I thought.
Same as Reg on closer inspection it turned out to be a pork pie.

It must of been a stale one cos it didnt half ring my bell.
