I can't advise about sites as I'm in the uk but I would use a google search entering 'cheap flights to bangkok', we have a site called airline-network.co.uk, I think there may be an american version ending with .com but not sure. We have some american members here and hopefully they can help you more than I can with sites.

I would suggest you try and find flights with Eva Air, a good low cost carrier.

I use United out of San Francisco and via Tokyo to BKK. Check your dates and if you can be flexible it can save you some cash. I am going first of Sept, and the same flight for Aug or Oct, just one month different either way was more. Had a flight booked for April at $1000 and March and May were both $1500. Don't know the how or why of their pricing seasons, but something to consider if you can flex your dates. :soapbox:

So many to choose from Cdawg.

Have a read of this site, well balanced reviews of pattaya bars.

do you have to make reservations at the little 330-400 baht hotels.I won't have a long stay and not a lot of money,it makes me sound like a cheap Charlie doesn't it lol

400 baht hotels? There can't be many that go that cheap and I would advise seeing if you could go a bit more expensive just for security and cleanliness sake!

The good news is that you intend to visit in low season by the looks of it, so you stand more chance of saving money.

Have a look through the Hotel/Bar Acommodation section on here and also give us an idea whether or not you are bothered about location, swimming pool, in room safe, how much you will pay maximum per night etc..

Then members here may be able to give some good suggestions based on your requirements.
