FWIW. I went to school with a lad from Sunderland, fresh off the boat.
That was THE year, if'n you lads get my meaning. Porterfield, Montgomery, Bob Stokoe.....as, those were the days. Or one day, anyway.:gimme:
Top lad, he played State League soccer here while still at school. Him and his brother was still playing at a good level last time I saw him.

And he married a top gunner that lived next door to another mate. We used to perve on her through the fence until we found out she was Ian's bird.:omg_smilie:

Then we just invited them around.:kicking:

Nice one Ash,
1973.. my favourite year. I was 12 years old and my folks bought our first colour tv for the occasion.

That was THE biggest cup upset in years as Leeds where high flyers i those days.

What's happened to them BigbadSi ?? :clueless:
