Looking for some intel of the ladies who might be found at the Livingstone Lodge on Sukhumvit @ Soi 33. Looks like a great Hotel and obviously has a number of very attractive hostesses which are available to be barfined out.

What I am curious about is if there are other ladies, freelancers, who also frequent this hotel/restaurant/sports bar who may not need to be barfined out ? :-) Or do the hostesses have a monopoly on the action here ?

Being a newcomer to this board, I don't know if this subject can be readily discussed openly, but if not, a private message would be much appreciated, including a range of fees which might be anticipated for this general area.

Thanks for your help.

I've not spent too much time on Soi 33 and don't think I've ever been in Livingstones but I'd wager your chances of finding freelancers around there are slim to none. Soi 33 markets itself as one of the more upscale venues and none of the bars I've frequented there would welcome competition from freelancers. Personally I think the whole soi 33 thing is way over-rated but thats just me. If you want freelancers check out Spice Club on soi 11 under the Ambassador, that seems to be the haunt of choice at the moment.

Spice club tends to be full of young farang blokes floating round thinking they are in western style club trying to pull. Many of the birds although friendly tend to play on this and play a bit hard to get. I'm a bit too long in the tooth for all that nonsense. If you want a freelancer just go to the beer garden if its afternoon or the Nana carpark at night. Otherwise how about the gogos or any one of the hundreds of massage places large and small in Bangers. As for soi 33 one of my favourite areas in Bangkok but most of the customers down there are either expats, guys who've lived in Bangkok before or have friends there and a few tourists with big wallets! Does'nt have to be that expensive if you avoid the "artists" bars after 9pm. Most of them have happy hour before that. Or go in the normal bars where prices are'nt as steep. I drink and socialise down there and buy the odd lady drink but never barfine. The barfines are a touch pricey, 1,200-1,500 baht in most places and the girls especially if they know you are minted or a tourist will expect slightly more dosh. But generally the level of service is better than you'll get from most gogo tarts in Bangkok these days. As for Livingstones don't go in there myself but have heard they do quite a good steak.

My first time to Thailand O.G. :angryold: in 1999 I went in at Ground Zero :plane: Checked into the Nana Hotel on Soi 4 about 50 meters from Sukhumvit and half that distance to the Go-Go's and beer bars. The rest was history... :dointhebizz:

Most guys cruise the bars for phone numbers (the Office was always my favorite) and call on the outside to avoid the steep bar fines.

Seems to me the girls are not materially better than the gogos - a bit older and more English but not significantly better looking. Some of the bars are better than others for merchandising the girls.

There are no freelancers at Livingstone Lodge, only the bar-girls from the Sports Bar, which is part of the Lodge. The barfine is 1500 baht.

The place is overpriced IMHO and even though the german manager urges his friends to post positive comments about it, I think there are far better places which offer much more value for your hard earned bucks.

Visit the Beergarden at Suk soi 7 or Gullivers or any of the many bars in the Suk area to find a freelancer. I am no cheap charlie, but why pay such outrages barfines if you can get laid for the very same amount.

Has anyone stayed there and tried the rooms with the Jacuzzi's?
I'm looking for a reasonably inexpensive alternative to the Nana closer to Soi Cowboy
