I just checked the map. India is closer to Oz than it is to England.

However, you are much, much closer to Bradford.

Few and far between, that is what makes them great moments ,

Not like the Aussies , success is so normal for them it must be boring.

Randy Turpin taking Ray Robinsons middleweight crown. Arguably the greatest ever victory by an English boxer against arguably the greatest boxer ever. Lost the rematch which was a close fight until Robinson launched an all out attack after being cut.

After 15 rounds of fighting, the final bell rings and Turpin puts his arm around Robinson's neck and they walk towards a corner and exchange what looks to be congratulations to each other. Some old school class there. Don't watch much boxing anymore to know if they still do that but I hope so.

Alan Minter losing the middleweight crown to Marvin Hagler. A great moment in English sport for the reaction of the English crowd on the fight being stopped, treating Hagler and his entourage to a good old traditional beer toasting in honour of his victory
