The following was copied from a post by "proky" on Talk from Sept. 10th. It was his first post and he opened with a very worthwhile one imo. He wrote that he got the free wi-fi information from here: http://pattayarag.blogspot.com/ which is a web site I'd never gone to before. The web site was put together by "Ed" who lives in Pattaya. It's worth a look; he's put a lot of work into his site.

In reality, 'free' might mean being the guest of a hotel or having to buy a drink or meal in the bar/restaurant to qualify for the 'free' access:

o Cafe Patini, Soi Buakow
o Canterbury Tales, Soi Chiyapoom (next to Crazy Dave’s)
o Carrefour Food Court, Pattaya Klang Road
o Cheers Bar Beach Rd, Soi 13/4
o Club Boesche

Tukcom, Starbucks and the major hotels provide hotspots but they aren't listed here because you can't just walk in and log on for the cost of a beer

Did Derek post as DerekUK or something like that on Talk? He came across as a good guy through his posts and I think he started a bar a few years ago in Pattaya.

I thought it was free at the R.G. or was the goldfish wrong in saying someone was looking at his computer dancing

Not free at the RG, well I get charged, maybe I'm an easy mark.

Notice Bob's BBQ on the list. Maybe free internet sunk his business.

Having used the wi-fi at Queen Vic's a couple of weeks ago I would rate it as excellent. Fast and with a strong signal.

Thai Archer & Metro Apartments have wi-fi as well.

Thanks Bazzap, will edit them in. If anyone else finds any wi-fi places not on the list let us know and we'll update it.
