Just found some great prices flying on Cathay Pacific out of LAX, SFO and JFK between September 1st and November 30th this fall.

My total price was $814.50 for round trip on one of the best carriers flying.

Redeye departure out of LAX puts me in BKK in the late morning.

I'm booked and life is good!

And that's about 8500 air miles ya gotta remember.

On a good carrier.

And did I mention those chinese stewardesses?:naughty:

I guess that`s with a touch-down in Hong Kong.
From London HTR. it`s about a 12 hour flight to HK.
How long is the flight from the US airports to HK?

Just seen your post with total time I figure the US to HK flight is even longer than the London-HK flight then, yes?

Just looked at my CP confirmation and they don't give the segment milage or time, just the total.

edit:
Just checked the schedules on their website. Flying time east to west:
LAX to HKG = 14 hrs 35 min
HKG to BKK = 2 hrs 40 min.

I always thought it was shorter from London to BKK but perhaps it isn't?

You haven't seen butt ugly until you see some of the fat old white trash that fly on the US carriers. I flew United in May and the ugly old wenches that get the long hauls because of senority are enough to gag you. One of them could barely walk down the aisle straight because her hips were so wide. You'd never see that on an asian carrier. They are so damn politically correct that they can't tell those fat ugly women to go on a diet or find another line of work anymore. Wouldn't be so bad if they weren't packing attitudes as well.

About 12 hours to HK from London, the outward flight time slightly less than the return(Cathay)
Flying direct from London to BKK about 11 hours, EVA and BA.
I prefer the direct flights but have in the past used Cathay for Hong Kong and China trips then just added a HK to BKK return for time in LOS.
I quite liked the look of some of the Chinese stewardess, maybe I got the pretty crew lol.
